2. The Herbel Remedies & Natural Medicine Bible
This is another one of my favorite books in my Homesteading library. The Herbel Remedies & Natural Medicine Bible is loaded full of information about natural herbal remedies.
It has helpful recipes as well as descriptions on what they are best used for.
If you are searching for a great book to add to your library to keep helpful natural medicine and remedies available, this is a great option at a very affordable price.
3. The Grace-Filled Homestead Cookbook
One of my favorite cookbooks I own is The Grace-Filled Homestead Cookbook by Lana Stenner. The recipes in this book are absolutely delicious.
The book is sectioned by season, to make it easy for Homesteaders who are growing seasonal food to have delicious ready to make recipes at their hands.
Paired with stunning photography and easy to follow recipes, this has become one of my go-to cookbooks for any occasion.
4. Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving
With over 400 recipes for caning and preserving homegrown food, the Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving is my top favorite canning book for homesteaders.
Whether a complete newbie, or a seasoned canner, this book is packed full of amazing recipes for salsas, savory sauces, pickles, chutneys, relishes and of course, jams, jellies, and fruit spreads.
It also dives into safe canning and preserving methods, making it an easy guide for beginners, while also giving hand-tips for the more experienced.
This well-rounded home preserving book is a must have for any homesteader.
5. The Backyard Homestead Seasonal Planner
This is a great resource for beginner homesteaders. The Backyard Homestead Seasonal Planner easily lays out everything you need to know about what you should be doing for a thriving homestead in each season.
I love this planner for beginners who feel overwhelmed by all the information out there.
It is a great book to easily lay out what you should be focusing on at each step, instead of feeling bombarded by all the information available.

If you’re looking for a great resource on foraging I love this book; Foraging for Edible Wild Plants and Mushrooms.
There are so many naturally abudenet plants that have tons of amazing benefits to us. Having a guide to know exactlt what you should be looking for makes it that much easier.
The Perfect guide to both edible and medicinal plants, and how to find safe mushrooms to add to your foraging yield!
Another things I love about this book, is how to dives into the best places and times to forage. You’d be surprsied just how many places you can find free food and meidicne around your neighborhood!

If you want a truly off-grid and self sustainable lifetsyle. The Bushcraft Field Guide to Trapping, Gathering, and Cooking in the Wild is an amazing book to have in your collection.
This field guide is packed full of information on surving and eating in the wild. This was one of my first books in mt homesteading collection, and I am still so impressed with the details and different information this book dives into. It is an essential for those wanting to survive compeltelty off-grid and even with no grocery stores.
